Old Towne Orange paid parking depends on the block and lot
Old Towne Orange has paid parking around the Plaza during posted hours, while some nearby lots and the Lemon Street structure remain free.
Old Towne Orange parking now depends on where you land. Paid parking applies in parts of the Old Towne Commercial Core from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., seven days a week. Parking is free before 9 a.m. and after 6 p.m.
The rates change by location. Plaza Circle on-street parking is $2 per hour. Other on-street paid spaces are $1.50 per hour. Paid city lots are $1.25 per hour. On-street paid spaces have a two-hour time limit, while paid city lots have a three-hour limit.
There is still a free-parking layer. Orange lists over 1,000 free spaces in the Plaza area, and the Lemon Street parking structure off Chapman remains free. Many city-owned lots also remain free for visitors.
That range is why the sign matters. A quick coffee stop, antique walk, dinner, church visit, or Plaza event can all feel like the same district, but the price and time limit can change by block.
