Burbank residential parking permits are tied to the street and plate

Burbank residential parking permits apply only on posted permit streets, and the city now uses an online, license-plate-based permit system.

Burbankparking permitspermit by plate

Burbank parking can feel easy on one block and tight on the next, especially near studios, hillsides, apartments, shopping streets, or popular event areas. Residential parking permits only matter where signs create a permit zone, so the block itself is the first thing to look at.

For posted residential permit streets, the permit is connected to the resident’s Burbank address and vehicle information. The city verifies eligibility, including through Burbank Water and Power accounts when needed. Visitor permits are also part of the program, but they still follow the rules for the permit area.

Burbank has moved residential permits toward an online, permit-by-plate system. That means the license plate does more of the work, and residents apply or renew through the parking portal instead of relying on an old decal routine. It is a small detail, but it changes what a person should have ready when applying.
