Burbank trash service starts when BWP service starts
Burbank has a useful shortcut for new residents and businesses: starting service with Burbank Water and Power also starts solid waste service for trash, organics, and recycling.
That saves a little guessing when you move in. Instead of hunting for a separate trash signup first, begin with BWP service, then check whether the cart size, number of carts, or bin setup fits the property.
The solid waste page points people to Public Works Field Services for service changes after BWP is active. That is the place to ask about a larger or smaller cart, extra carts, new construction service, or other trash setup details.
For pickup timing, use the trash day map. For bulky items, missed pickups, temporary bins, recycling questions, or organics questions, use the specific links on the solid waste page rather than sending one broad request.
