Pittsburg water and sewer starts at the Payment Center
Pittsburg starts water and sewer service through the Water Utility Billing Payment Center, with new service requests accepted close to the requested start date.
In Pittsburg, water and sewer service starts with the Water Utility Billing Payment Center at City Hall. That is the account counter for opening service, account questions, payments, and closing service when you move.
New water service requests are handled close to the date you want service. The city accepts new service requests no more than 24 hours before the requested start date, so it is worth checking the timing before you take time off or send someone to City Hall.
Bring proof that connects you to the property, plus a photo ID. A new owner, renter, property manager, or person closing an account may need different details, so write down the service address, start or stop date, and best contact number before you begin.
For account questions, the Water Utility Billing number is 925-252-4940. If the question is water quality or a meter location, Public Works may be the better next call.
