In Orange, building permit applications start in the Civic Portal. Create the account first. Then add the signature in the profile area. After you sign in, look for the Building Division tab on the portal home page.
The same online path handles the application and later project steps. Before you start, keep the project address, contact details, plans, and a short work description together.
If you are not sure whether your project belongs in the portal, call or visit Building and Safety during counter hours. That can save time before you upload plans.
Once you know you need a permit, the application begins online.
