Suisun City's marina opens right into the marsh
Suisun City Marina connects the downtown waterfront to Suisun Slough, the Delta, San Francisco Bay, and one of California's largest wetland landscapes.
Suisun City makes more sense when you start at the water. The marina sits on Suisun Channel, with access toward the California Delta and San Francisco Bay. From there, Suisun Slough winds through the Suisun Marsh.
That marsh is the big local feature: an 84,000-acre wetland and the largest remaining coastal wetland in California. It draws people for boating, kayaking, fishing, bird-watching, sightseeing, and slow water days.
The waterfront also gives the city a simple first stop. Restaurants and other amenities are within walking distance, and the public boat launch is available with a parking permit. The marsh is right there at the edge of downtown.
Check tides, launch details, and marina updates before making a water plan. For a dry-land visit, the waterfront still gives Suisun City a clear sense of place.
