Simi Valley bulky pickup starts with Waste Management

Simi Valley trash, recycling, bulky items, household hazardous waste pickup, and electronic waste drop-off run through the city's Waste Management service setup.

Simi Valleybulky pickuptrash service

Simi Valley trash service starts with Waste Management, also listed as G.I. Industries. The city has an exclusive contract with that hauler for trash and recycling collection.

Bulky pickup is one of the most useful details. Residents may request two free bulky pickups per calendar year. Each pickup can include up to four items. Common examples include a washer, dryer, couch, desk, or electronic waste.

To schedule bulky pickup, call Waste Management at 805-522-9400 or use a My WM account. Extra bulky requests may have a fee.

Household hazardous waste is a separate service. Simi Valley points residents to the At Your Door program and gives 800-449-7587 for scheduling a curbside pickup.

Electronic waste has another easy option. Residents can drop off e-waste at the local Waste Management/G.I. Industries office on West Los Angeles Avenue during weekday business hours.

Before clearing out a garage, sort items into bulky, hazardous, electronic, and regular trash. That saves a lot of guessing.
