Santa Clarita's trails make the city feel stitched together

Santa Clarita has a large trail and paseo system for walking, biking, riding, jogging, skating, and everyday connections.

Santa Claritatrailspaseos

Santa Clarita’s trails are part of daily movement as well as weekend exercise. They help the city feel connected across parks, shopping areas, schools, work centers, and neighborhoods.

The city has about 80 miles of trails and 20 miles of paseos. A paseo is the local word you will see for some of the paved walking and biking paths. The regional river trail acts like the backbone, with other trails and paseos tying into it.

That makes the system good for different kinds of days. You can take a walk after dinner, bike to a nearby stop, jog, skate, ride, or use a trailhead as a simple outdoor break.

Read the map before heading out. Heavy rain can close undercrossings along the Santa Clara River and its tributaries, and the city may reopen sections only after conditions are okay.
