Palmdale building projects start online with Accela

Palmdale uses the Accela Citizen Portal for building permit applications, electronic plan review, inspections, and some building-related complaints.

Palmdale spreads across a wide high-desert landscape. Even a small job can feel like a lot at first. A room addition, a new shop space, a rental complaint, or an EV charger may all start with Building and Safety.

Palmdale uses the Accela Citizen Portal for building permit applications. Plans are reviewed online through DigEplan. Inspections can be scheduled online through Accela. Some building, code, and rental complaints also use that same portal path.

That does not mean every project is simple. Desert lots, wind, utilities, and newer growth can all shape a job. The city page is still the best first stopway.

For a homeowner or small business, gather the address, project idea, and any drawings you already have. Then use the city page to decide the next step. You may be applying, asking a process question, scheduling an inspection, or checking a plan review.
