Mission Viejo bulky pickup has a free but scheduled routine
Mission Viejo residents can use Waste Management for bulky item pickup, with item limits, advance scheduling, and clear no-go categories.
Mission Viejo’s bulky pickup rule is friendly, but it is not a same-morning toss-it-out routine. The city’s trash hauler, Waste Management, handles bulky item collection on the regular trash day when residents schedule it ahead of time.
The useful numbers are easy to miss. Residents may place up to five large items at the curb, three times per year, at no extra charge. Furniture, appliances, electronic equipment, and similar items fit the idea. Car bodies and construction or demolition waste do not.
The timing matters too. Waste Management asks for the pickup to be scheduled 48 hours ahead of trash day. That small call or online step keeps a mattress, appliance, or old chair from sitting out longer than needed, which is especially helpful on Mission Viejo’s tidy residential streets and hillside neighborhoods.
