Treganza Heritage Park keeps Lemon Grove's older homes in view
Lemon Grove has a name that already sounds like local history, and Treganza Heritage Park helps make that history visible. The park sits at 3200 Main Street and has lemon trees, a rose garden, walking paths, open green space, and two historic homes used as museums.
That mix is useful because Lemon Grove can otherwise feel like a quick drive-through city between bigger San Diego County places. Treganza gives the community a slower center, with older homes and small gardens close to City Hall and Main Street.
The park is only 1.76 acres, so it is not trying to be a huge destination. Its job is different. It keeps a bit of Lemon Grove’s older civic story in one easy-to-find place, where a person can see that the city has roots deeper than the traffic corridors around it.
For a short visit, start with the park and then look for museum hours or local history events. The homes are the part that turn the green space into a real heritage stop.
