La Mirada Public Works is the first call for many street issues
La Mirada’s Public Works page is the practical place to start for many physical city issues. Public Works handles roads, storm drains, traffic signals, streetlights, roadway landscaping, public facilities, athletic fields, parks, encroachment permits, and graffiti removal.
For a routine street or facility concern, use the closest address, cross street, and a clear location note. La Mirada has parks, schools, shopping areas, and residential streets close together, so a landmark can save time.
Graffiti has its own fast lane. The city provides a 24-hour graffiti hotline, and Public Works removes graffiti on public property or in the right-of-way after notice.
When you report graffiti, say whether it is on a wall, sign, fence, sidewalk, utility box, or another public surface. That small detail helps the request get to the right crew with the right equipment.
If the problem is happening right now or involves immediate safety, use the proper public-safety contact instead of waiting on a routine maintenance request.
