La Habra trash service and bulky pickup run through CR&R

La Habra uses CR&R for waste collection, while residential accounts are billed by the city and bulky pickups are handled by appointment.

La Habra has a split that is worth knowing when a trash question comes up. CR&R is the contracted waste hauler, but residential service is billed through the City of La Habra. That means the right contact can depend on whether the issue is a bill, a collection problem, or a special pickup.

For bulky items, single-family and multifamily customers get four free pickups each year. Each appointment can include up to four large items, or up to 20 plastic bags or bundles under 50 pounds. The pickup is by appointment, so a couch on the curb without a scheduled collection can turn into a headache.

Holiday weeks also shift the rhythm. CR&R lists no collection on Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s Day.

The clean way to sort it is by question. Billing points toward the city. Missed service, cart trouble, and bulky pickup appointments point toward CR&R. That saves time when the only thing you really want is a clean curb again.
