Huntington Beach permit work starts in HB ACA
Huntington Beach uses HB ACA as the online lane for permit work. It is where many applicants go to apply for permits, start plan check, check project status, and look up permit records.
The record side is useful before work begins. If you are buying a home, planning a remodel, or trying to understand past work at an address, the permit search can help. You can look for older records and recent permits.
For a new project, have the address, owner contact, project description, contractor information, and plan files ready. If the work is near the coast, changes the outside of a building, or touches a business space, plan for more review than a simple trade permit.
Keep the Permit Center page open while using the portal. It gives the local context for building and inspection questions. HB ACA handles the online workflow.
Think of the first question as simple sorting. Are you applying, checking status, looking up old permits, or looking for recent activity? HB ACA covers all four.
