Cerritos routes reports by issue type

Cerritos asks residents to pick the issue type first, because local street problems, freeway ramp concerns, and power outages may go to different agencies.

Cerritosservice requestspublic works

Cerritos asks residents to identify the type of issue first so the report can be routed correctly. That is the important step on the city’s Report an Issue page.

The city uses GoRequest for many local reports, and the page also separates outside issues like freeway ramps or power outages. A pothole on a Cerritos street is different from a problem on a freeway ramp, and a power outage belongs with Southern California Edison.

For a city report, write the nearest address, cross street, and a short description. If the issue involves a traffic signal, streetlight, sidewalk, or pothole, include the direction or corner if you can.

Use the city request path for routine problems. For after-hours traffic signal issues or public-safety situations, follow the phone guidance on the city pages instead.
